TAMPA MORNING TRIBUNE, Monday, October 2, 1950 BODY OF TAMPA AIRMAN ENDS LIFE Sgt. Randall Lee Thicker, 25, of Vincennes, Ind. telephone switchboard operator at MacDill Air Force Base, killed himself early yesterday morning by shooting himself in the right temple with a carbine in hH quarters. He died shortly afterward in the base hospital. Friends said Thacker had been despondent for several months.

He is survived by his mother, two sisters, Mrs. Hugh Dawson and Mrs. J. Clifford MacDonald, and a brother, J. Oswald Cornelius, of Tampa.

W. Parsley, FUNERAL NOTICES ATTACK FATAL TO TAMPA MAN CRABBING IN BAY ST. PETERSBURG, Oct. 1. (JP) Roy Mickler, 45-year-old Tampa filling station operator of 1808 Watrous died today of a- heart attack suffered while crabbing in Tampa Bay.

He was stricken this afternoon while fishing for crabs with his wife and daughter. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Mound Park Hospital here. His wife called for help when he suffered the attack off Weedon's Island. She was unable to get ashore with the small boat in which the Micklers were fishing. Her cries for assistance brought Mrs.

A. D. Davis, of St. Petersburg, whose boat pulled the Mickler craft ashore. Magistrate Edward P.

Silk pronounced the death was due to a heart attack. B. Marion Reed, of Tampa, has charge of funeral arrangements. Mickler had been a resident of Tampa for 15 years. Other survivors are two sons, Richard R.
