The acquisition by Frisco will give that system its first direct entry into the port city of Mobile, Ala. The transaction involves the purchase by Frisco of approximately $1,161,075 of Alabama, Tennessee and Northern stock and bonds. The Alabama company operates 214 miles of trackage running northward from Mobile to Reform, Ala. The road will retain a separate entity and its present name, but will become a part of the far-flung Frisco system which extends over nine Southeastern and Southwestern states. which has several Navy-built struc tures, a water system, power plant and paved roads.
