JSe it Orieivtd, by ll Mayor and Cc'J-of lit Citf of Tampa, lit CVmmosi CK't- cil eoarewerf, That, from and after the 14tb day of Joh A. 1857, the port of Tampa i bereby declared to be tinder tbe government of the following Qnarantine Laws, and a point about balf way between tbe Outer Stakea of the Channel arid Ballast poiut, ia declared to le the Quarantine Station, at which, all vessels fchall be when placed in qnarantine. The point shall be dcigt ated a vellow flap, displayed from the top of a tnlf state, and at wh! all vessels not hereinafter excepted, aball await inspection.

ORDINANCE No. 2. These laws shall extend to all vessels eomint; above Gadseu'a Point, their J-ffuers, crews, pnssenpers and cargoes, and to all persons ar-j riving by any other avenue -battver having contagious, pestilential or infectious dissasc. ORDINANCE No. 3.

Said Port Inspector is hereby authorised to appoint a suitable Assitant, whose oflicial acta shall be as valid, and duties tbe tame, as the principal.

ORDINANCE No. 4. It shall be the duty of tbe Port Inspector to lnjRid anv and all vessels, believed him. to bare arrived from Wyoud Gadsen 'a 'I'oint, as soon after they pass 'the Point a possible. nnd, upon the examination of any such res) or vessels, be shall deliver to the Master or Commander a certificate describing the eendi-i tion of bis vessel, as to the cleanliness, health of passengers and ercw, and his instructions, based npon such examination, in writing, which shall be olieved by the Master or Commander immediately; and, upon tba delivery of such certificate and instructions, the Mas-I ter, Commander, Owner, or Agent, shall pay to the eaid Port Inspector, whether the said "cer-j tificate declares clcnti bill of health or other-: wise, tbe sum of if the vessel be 25 tons or under, if oTcr 25 nnd under 75 tons, the sum if of or over 75 and under 150 tons, the sum of if of or over 1 tons, the sum of 10,00 and nomore; for vi huh payment the Port Inspector shall give his re- ceipt.

ORDINANCE No. s. No communication with the shore, whatee-' er, be permitted to take place between ''ie officers, crews, or passengers any vessel or vessels that may be put in quarantine by the Port Inspector as aforesaid, except sncb a shall be authorized in wiiting by the said Port Inspector; and for every such the Pnr'y obtaining the same, shall pay the sum of fift cent (5" cts.) But nothing in these laws hhnll be so eointrned as to prevent in? ves-J sel from ret uniirg seaward, it, upon examira-j tion, as aforesaid, the same shall not be found in a condition to land. 4 The Branch Pilots of tbe port of Tampa, are required to mak kr.own these Health Ijiws to the Masters of snch vessels, as tbey may lionrd, during any time they may be in force; and any Pilot, wflo shall fail to do so, shall be fined at the discretion of tbe Mavor. Any Master or Commander of any vessel, put iu quarantine, as aforesaid, or who shall land any officer, rcaman or passenger, or any enrgo or thing, or who shall allow any person or jersons to come on board, except by permit, as aforesaid; or who shall make false dce-' larations in regard to the port or place fiom hii-hhc came, or in regard to the health of his crew or passengers; or who ahall refute to answer questions tombing these matters, or ho shall pass the (Quarantine Mation riar. having contagious disease on board his vessel.

ORDINANCE No. 8. Ar.y Custom House-Officer, Pilot, or other person, who may go on board any vessel which," upon examination, as aforesaid, shall be put iu quarantine, shall not be allowed to land, except as provided in the f.th Ordinance; and anv such person, violating this Ordinance, shall be punished at the discretion of the Mayor. ORDINANCE No.

10. The City Council, upon the report of tbe Port Inspector, will determine the length of timeanv vessel, placed in quarantine, as afore- said, shall be detained. ORDINANCE No. 11. These Quarantine ftnd Health" Laws shall be and remain in full force from the date hereof, until suspended by order of the Cil Council.

And, for willful neglect or breach of duty, oo the part of the Tort Inspector, he shall forfeit and pay a fine for each and every such offence, at the discretion of the Mayor. 0RDIMANCE No. 12." If there be any Ordinances contained in thesa Health Laws, for the violation of which lie penalty is thereineontaincd.it ia bereby Ordained for such violation of any such Ordinance, the offender shall be punished at the liscretion of the Mayor. Yellow Fever, in its most malig uant form, has made its appearance at Key West, and, whereas, non-intcreourse is believ-! ed, bv eomjietent medical men, to be one effi-j cient'remedy against the introduction of this: Thrrrfor, Beit Ordniurd, by the Maytr and Cnuneiimen in t'ommnn Council eontened 1. That every veel of whatever description, arriving at this Port from Key West, shall an-i chor at the Quarantine Ground, aod no com-j iniinieation whatsoever nhall be permitted to or from the shore, except such as is bereinai tcr deeeribed. 2.

That the Tort Physician, after ascertain- ing tlie fact that any vessel so arriving is from Key West, and that the same is a Mail carrier, may. at his discretion, exchange the Mail, pro-; yided ha can do so without boarding aud.w it la the aid of oue Assistant. 3. Every person, of whatsoever description, I convicted of acting in violation of thfs Ordinance, shall le subjected to fine and imprijoa-mentat the discretion ot the Mayor, i 4.
